About Us

Our History

Yetter Coleman is a litigation boutique built to handle high-stakes business and technology litigation from investigating claims and filing suit through final resolution on appeal.  Founded in 1997 in Houston, Texas by Paul Yetter and David Warden, former partners in one of the country’s most prestigious law firms, the Firm grew steadily. Ten years after opening our doors, we further extended our commitment to our clients when Greg Coleman joined the Firm in 2007 and brought with him an outstanding group of appellate lawyers, and opening our second office in Austin, Texas. The resulting combination of our first-tier trial and appellate talent immediately allowed us to offer our clients a unique, integrated team approach from which the best strategic decisions could be developed for every stage of litigation. Our work on behalf of clients led to national recognition in 2009 by The American Lawyer as one of the nation’s leading litigation boutiques, and in 2010 by The National Law Journal as one of the leading national appellate practices.

In July 2010, we announced our name change to Yetter Coleman LLP to reflect the synergy of our trial and appellate practices, and we embarked upon a new era for the Firm.  Tragically, on November 23rd of the same year, Greg died in a plane crash, leaving behind family, friends, and colleagues who will forever remember his graciousness, humility, and charity, along with his sincere dedication to his clients. We mourn his loss as a friend and partner, yet our firm spirit is strong and our resolve to provide our clients with the highest level of service and support endures.

Today and Beyond

Yetter Coleman is thriving and growing with two offices and nearly 60 outstanding lawyers and professional staff.  In July, 2011, we were pleased to announce the addition of Reagan Simpson, who joined the firm as partner and head of our appellate practice. Highly regarded for his appellate and trial acumen, Reagan adds a depth of experience and skill that complements our growing appellate team.  Most recently, Charlie Parker joined the firm in December, 2011.  With nearly 40 years of trial experience, his capabilities in commercial, securities, and corporate white-collar defense litigation are a wonderful addition to the firm's growing trial practice.  Yetter Coleman is proud to now have three lawyers who are members of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers.

As a firm, we are proud to work with clients that choose us for our dedication to understanding and achieving their business goals.  Similarly, we are also proud to attact some of the brightest lawyers. Practicing in state and federal courts across the country, they provide the highest-caliber representation for plaintiffs and defendants in a broad spectrum of litigation, with particular concentrations in complex commercial, appellate, constitutional, governmental, technology, intellectual property,  and energy litigation.  The Firm is one of a select few boutiques based outside of Washington, D.C. to have an active, successful United States Supreme Court practice and we also have become one of the leading appellate practices in Texas, handling both large commercial appeals for the state’s biggest corporations and important public-law litigation both on behalf of, and against, state and local governments.

We are excited about continuing to build our practice and working to support our great clients, as well as to nurturing strong ties within our communities and our profession.
