Collin Cox, partner, has been named as one of 59 Scholars selected to participate in the prestigious Presidential Leadership Scholars (PLS) Program's fourth annual class. He is one of ten Scholars selected from Texas.
PLS serves as a catalyst for a diverse network of leaders brought together to collaborate and make a difference in the world as they learn about leadership through the lens of the presidential experiences of George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Lyndon B. Johnson.
This year's class was selected after a rigorous application and review process. Scholars are selected based on their leadership growth potential and strength of their personal leadership projects aimed at improving the civic or social good by addressing a program or need in a community, profession, or organization.
"I am honored to be selected and look forward to learning from other Presidential Leadership Scholars. I am excited to bring their best thinking from around the country back to Houston," said Cox, who is Chair Emeritus of Buffalo Bayou Partnership and currently serving on the Boards of UTHealth Development, DaCamera of Houston, and Houston Wilderness.
The program kicks off in Washington, D.C., followed by Cox and his fellow Scholars traveling to each participating presidential center to learn from former presidents, key former administration officials, and leading academics.
