Austin’s practice focuses on high-stakes appeals and commercial litigation.
Austin has briefed disputes at all levels of the federal and state courts. He is a graduate of Duke Law School, where he was an Articles Editor of the Duke Law Journal. He also served in the First Amendment Clinic, defending the liberties of indigent state court litigants and authoring amicus briefs in the U.S. Supreme Court and federal courts of appeal.
Austin clerked for the Honorable Gerald B. Tjoflat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and for the Honorable Lee H. Rosenthal on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
