Casey’s practice is focused on commercial litigation. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in matters alleging breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, civil RICO, and other causes of action. Casey regularly represents companies and directors in class-action securities and derivative lawsuits, including in federal and state courts in Texas, New York, and the Delaware Chancery Court. Casey also represents companies and individuals in connection with internal investigations and investigations initiated by the U.S. Dept. of Justice or the SEC.
Casey has represented individuals, banks and other financial institutions, insurance companies, private equity firms, hedge funds, commercial retailers, technology firms, commercial carriers, and oil and gas companies.
Casey has an active pro bono immigration practice and represents individuals seeking asylum in the United States.
Casey clerked with the Hon. Raymond J. Dearie in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn. He previously practiced with Vinson & Elkins and Quinn Emanuel in Houston and Hogan Lovells in New York.
