Yetter Coleman Promotes Robert D. Woods to Its Partnership

Yetter Coleman is pleased to announce that Robert Woods will become a partner of the firm effective January 1, 2021.

Robert joined the firm in 2014 after graduating from the University of Chicago Law School. Drawing upon his deep interest in oil & gas litigation, he has developed a thriving practice focused on protecting the interests of top companies that include Energy Transfer, Southwestern Energy, Apache, Newfield, EnCap, and ConocoPhillips.

“Robert’s elevation to partner is a culmination of his hard work and tireless efforts to deliver first-rate client service. We are thrilled to have him as our newest partner,” says Yetter Coleman partner Collin Cox.

Robert’s growing reputation for practice excellence and leadership is reflected in receiving “Rising Star” honors from Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, and Texas Super Lawyers, his selection for the Institute for Energy Law’s 2nd Leadership Class and positions held with IEL’s Young Professionals Leadership Council and Houston Young Lawyer’s Association, and in thought leadership demonstrated through the founding of his blog, prudentoperator.com and as a speaker at various industry conferences.

Woods reflects, “I am thrilled to join Yetter Coleman’s partnership and appreciate every opportunity over the last six years to have been given a meaningful role to help our great roster of clients while practicing alongside the best trial and appellate lawyers in the country.”

Yetter Coleman focuses exclusively on high-stakes business and technology litigation for plaintiffs and defendants in a broad spectrum of matters, with particular focus on contract and business torts, appellate, intellectual property, and antitrust and securities litigation for clients involved in the energy, technology, and finance industries.
