Yetter Coleman assisted CenterPoint Energy with prosecuting claims against the insurance companies that issued Builder All Risk policies on CenterPoint’s “Line CP” project, a 172-mile natural gas pipeline in which an unanticipated drilling accident occurred. After being denied coverage by its insurer, CenterPoint sued for breach of the insurance contract. A jury unanimously found that the loss should be covered. On appeal, within six months of the verdict, we secured a net settlement for the client of 85% of its loss.
