Yetter Coleman’s Appellate practice section, led by Connie Pfeiffer, focuses exclusively on appeals. Our lawyers handle every facet of appellate practice, from working early in cases with trial teams to arguing in courts of last resort. Recognized for our results, we are hired for trials and appeals in state and federal courts across the nation.
The appellate team represents both plaintiffs and defendants in myriad areas of law, including complex commercial cases, energy, government liability, constitutional issues, statutory and contract interpretation, products and premises liability, personal injury, fiduciary claims, and professional negligence. The common denominator among a sweeping array of subject areas is deep experience with appellate decision-making.
Through clerkships, specialization, and decades of experience, we have the perspective and sensitivity to what issues to raise and which arguments will ultimately win. We cultivate a reputation for objective, creative, and thoughtful analysis that earns the trust of clients and judges.
We are frequently hired to handle mandamus proceedings and interlocutory appeals early in lawsuits. As a case reaches trial, we prepare and argue jury charges, expert challenges, dispositive legal issues, preserve error at trial, and handle all post-verdict preservation and proceedings once a case reaches an appeal. The integrated input of our appellate group elevates our trial results and best positions our clients for lasting success.
