Yetter Coleman has been named to the 2015 Litigation Boutique Hot List issued byThe National Law Journal, as one of the top ten litigation-only firms in the U.S. This is the second time for our firm to appear in the list, and the sixth time to be recognized as a top litigation boutique in Texas or the country in the last decade.
Three of our recent cases were noted by the publication as important wins during 2014, including:
- Winning $160 million for MM Steel, a small steel distributor driven out of business by competitor steel distributors and mills, which cut off its access to steel plate in the Texas Gulf Coast market. After a five-week trial closely followed by industry media, the federal jury found for our client in two hours. The case is one of the few per se antitrust trials in decades;
- Securing $61 million for Business Logic in a trade-secrets case in Chicago. When we were hired, our client faced a zero settlement offer after years of grueling litigation. Just months later, on the day before jury selection, the case settled for 95% of its claimed damages – in the 9th largest disclosed trade-secrets settlement in the U.S.; and,
- Securing a $15 million settlement for a nationwide class of Wells Fargo loan officers seeking unpaid overtime in an MDL proceeding.
