Chris Porter Shares What He Wishes He Learned Before Law School Graduation With Law 360

Yetter Coleman partner, Chris Porter, was featured in a recent Law 360 article which asked lawyers to share what they wished they knew when they graduated from law school:

“I learned many invaluable lessons about being a lawyer during my time in law school. But one thing I wish I had learned by graduation is the importance of daily business development in building a successful practice. Like many new lawyers, I assumed that doing good work was enough. While that is certainly important, a successful career entails much more, including working to form new business relationships, fostering existing ones, and being helpful to my professional network. For me, nothing is more satisfying than getting a new client, solving their immediate problem, and starting a long-lasting new relationship.”
