Mollie Bracewell, Former Assistant U.S. Attorney, joins Yetter Coleman

Yetter Coleman is pleased to announce that Mollie Bracewell has joined the firm as Senior Counsel.

Ms. Bracewell is a highly regarded trial attorney whose practice focuses on commercial litigation. Prior to joining Yetter Coleman, Bracewell served for nearly six years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, where she handled matters involving financial fraud, healthcare fraud, tax fraud, money laundering, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) violations, public corruption, racketeering (RICO), organized crime, extortion, sex trafficking, and gang-related and drug-related violence. She was lead or co-lead counsel in eight federal criminal jury trials, and briefed and argued multiple appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Bracewell’s extensive litigation and trial experience equips her to advocate for businesses both inside and outside the courtroom. As a federal prosecutor in the Public Corruption and Violent and Organized Crime Units, Bracewell investigated and prosecuted numerous cases involving both white collar and violent crime. These included the trial and conviction of Lawrence Ray, who victimized his daughter’s college friends in a cult-like setting over nearly a decade, and the re-trial and conviction of Timothy Shea, who participated in a scheme to defraud donors in the We Build the Wall viral fundraising. Among other cases, Bracewell successfully prosecuted 19 defendants for their involvement in the sex trafficking of minor victims in the social services system, dozens of gang members for violent crimes in New York City, and an individual involved in the extortion attempt of the CEO of a publicly traded company. Her contributions to public service have been recognized with the Director’s Award for Superior Performance by a Litigative Team and the Women in Federal Law Enforcement (“WIFLE”) top prosecutor award.

Bracewell is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School. Following clerkships with the Hon. David J. Barron of the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the Hon. Alvin K. Hellerstein of the Southern District of New York, Bracewell practiced with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in its New York office and worked on a broad range of cases in various sectors.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mollie Bracewell to our team,” states Tracy LeRoy, partner and member of the firm’s Management Committee. “Her extensive experience in litigation and her impressive track record as a federal prosecutor make her an invaluable addition to our firm.”
