Jamie Aycock Moderates Harvard Law School Panel of Texas Judges Honoring “Tex-quicentennial” of Texas Constitution

Yetter Coleman LLP partner Jamie Aycock led a panel discussion at Harvard Law School in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Texas state constitution.

Aycock was joined by Texas Supreme Court Justice Evan Young and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit Judge Don Willett on Tuesday, March 10, at Austin Hall on the Harvard Law School campus. They shared personal stories about their path to the bench in Texas, what it means to follow the law regardless of their personal beliefs, and discussed how and why the Texas state constitution differs from the U.S. Constitution. The panel explained that the Texas constitution must be understood as a document that was developed in a different historical period by liberty-loving Texans.

The Federalist Society and Texas Club hosted the event.

Aycock, a Harvard Law School alumnus, is a high-stakes business trial lawyer who focuses his practice on complex commercial and restructuring litigation.
