Yetter Coleman Deepens IP Litigation Practice with Addition of Amy Bergeron as Senior Counsel

Yetter Coleman LLP has announced the addition of seasoned IP litigator Amy Bergeron as senior counsel—a strategic hire that further strengthens one of Texas’s premier intellectual property litigation practices. The firm’s IP team, recognized by Chambers USA and composed of experienced registered patent attorneys with technical degrees, is uniquely positioned to take on the most complex IP disputes in the market. Amy’s arrival deepens that bench at a time of significant growth and demand.

Amy joins Yetter Coleman from Baker Botts, where she built a reputation as a technically rigorous trial lawyer with the case management skills to match. She brings extensive experience representing clients in high-stakes matters involving telecommunications systems, oilfield equipment, chemicals, and other specialized technologies. Her ability to command both the technical substance and the courtroom sets her apart.

“Amy brings a unique blend of deep technical knowledge across many of the core industries we serve with broad and impressive IP trial experience,” said Jeffrey A. Andrews, who leads the firm’s IP practice. “Our team prides itself on being highly technical and fiercely trial-ready, and Amy fits that mold perfectly. She is a tremendous addition, and we are excited about what she will bring to our clients.”

“I worked closely with Amy for seven years and witnessed her strengths as a trial lawyer first-hand,” said Natalie Alfaro Gonzales, an IP partner at Yetter Coleman. “She is as reliable and impressive as trial lawyers come. We are thrilled to have her join our growing IP team at Yetter Coleman.”

Amy is a proven trial lawyer with courtroom experience in both Texas state and federal courts, as well as before the International Trade Commission. Beyond the courtroom, she brings additional depth in proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, reflecting the full-spectrum IP litigation capability that defines Yetter Coleman’s IP practice.

Licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Amy received her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law, where she served as managing editor of the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal. She earned her B.S. in biomedical engineering from the University of Texas.
