Bailey focuses on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation, with experience advising on patent, trade secret, and technology-related disputes. As an electrical engineer and registered patent attorney, Bailey understands and distills complex technical and legal issues and advises clients on practical, value-driven solutions.
Bailey previously served as IP Legal Counsel at Dell Technologies and as an intellectual property associate at Baker Botts LLP and Kirkland & Ellis. She has supported clients in patent strategy, licensing, and litigation, and has contributed to trial teams in federal court. She has also argued before the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeals Board on behalf of her clients. Further, Bailey has experience drafting and prosecuting patents before the United States Patent and Trademark Office which provides unique insight into litigation strategies.
She earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Biology from Tufts University. Bailey has co-authored several scientific papers in leading publications and served as a judicial intern for the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. Bailey is also a member of The Honorable Lee Yeakel Intellectual Property American Inn of Court, a role she has held since 2014.
