Lily E. Hann

Associate

Lily Hann is an appellate advocate focused on complex commercial disputes and government matters. Lily has drafted briefs at all levels of federal and state courts and often partners with trial teams to develop legal strategy, ensure error preservation, and shape jury charges to position cases for success on appeal.  She has developed special expertise litigating supersedeas and temporary appellate relief in the critical period following a judgment and has written and presented on those issues.

Lily represents clients in diverse industries, including energy and technology companies. Her current docket includes appeals involving multimillion-dollar contract and tort disputes and multiple federal-court matters against state attorneys general.

Before joining the firm, Lily clerked for Justice Jane Bland of the Supreme Court of Texas and Senior U.S. District Judge Robert N. Chatigny of the District of Connecticut. She previously practiced securities litigation at Jones Day in New York City. Lily earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of Michigan Law School and is originally from California.
