Professional Summary

Luke’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation with experience representing and advising clients on antitrust issues and risks and on oil and gas litigation. He is skilled in managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, developing experts and strategy, briefing and arguing dispositive motions and appeals, and trial preparation. Before attending law school, he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy and was a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, D.C.

Luke received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School where he served as a Contributing Editor of the Michigan Journal of Law Reform, as a student attorney in the Federal Appellate Litigation Clinic, and as a judicial intern for Judge Raymond M. Kethledge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. As a student attorney, he argued a pro bono case involving the Speedy Trial Act in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, securing a reversal for his client. After law school, Luke clerked for Judge Edith B. Clement on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Judge Fernando Rodriguez, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and Justice John P. Devine in the Supreme Court of Texas.

Prior to joining the firm, Luke practiced with Norton Rose Fulbright in Houston.
