Y. Ping Sun Asked To Serve on Greater Houston COVID-10 Recovery Fund Task Force; First Investment in 30 Non-Profits Announced

Y. Ping Sun, of counsel with Yetter Coleman and University Representative with Rice University, has been tapped to serve on the volunteer task force of the Greater Houston COVID-19 Recovery Fund, a collaborative effort of the United Way of Greater Houston and the Greater Houston Community Foundation that formed in March 2020 to administer $7.4 million in current donations made by leading local foundations, corporations, and individuals.

Just three weeks after its launch, the Fund announced its investment of $1.5 million in 30 area nonprofit partners that serve communities where residents need immediate access to food and emergency financial assistance.

“It is gratifying to see this important effort come together so quickly to ensure critical help reaches our neighbors who need it most during this difficult time,” says Paul Yetter, adding, “We are very proud of Ping for all she regularly does for the Houston community. She will make a real impact on this critical task force given her deep ties to the community and her recent role serving as Co-Chair of the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund Grants Committee.”

Donations can be made online.
