The Texas Bar Foundation recently honored David Keltner, a partner with Kelly Hart & Hallman, with the inaugural Gregory S. Coleman Outstanding Appellate Lawyer at its annual dinner that was held in conjunction with the 2012 State Bar of Texas Convention. Yetter Coleman established the award in 2011 in honor and memory of our partner and friend, Greg Coleman.
The award celebrates the high ideals and standards that Greg demonstrated in his appellate practice and personal life, and recognizes an attorney who exhibits an outstanding appellate practice and strong moral compass while maintaining a strong commitment to providing legal services for the underserved and mentoring of young lawyers.
Yetter Coleman’s managing partner, Paul Yetter, notes ” this award to David is very well-deserved and we couldn’t be more pleased for him to be the first recipient of an honor that is intended to serve as a living tribute to Greg’s life.”
In connection with the award, the firm will make an annual unrestricted gift to the Texas Bar Foundation for grants relating to access to justice initiatives, civic education concerning the law, victim services, children’s welfare, and judicial education.
