Katie’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation, with broad experience representing clients in cases involving alleged breaches of contract, breaches of fiduciary duties, fraud, misrepresentation, non-disclosure agreements, trade secrets, and non-compete agreements. She also regularly handles contract claims, construction claims, DTPA claims, and matters related to professional liability.

Katie represents clients including Fortune 500 companies, commercial real estate developers and landlords, oil and gas consulting firms, trust officers, banking institutions, and high net-worth individuals in estate and trust litigation. She is recognized in commercial litigation as "One to Watch" by Best Lawyers in America and as a “Texas Rising Star” by Thomson Reuters' Super Lawyers.

Prior to joining the firm, Katie practiced with Greenberg Traurig and Hicks Thomas.

  • Defended oil and gas logistics company in dispute involving alleged misappropriation of trade-secrets and breach of related non-disclosure agreement.
  • Defended design and construction firm in multi-million-dollar dispute involving breach of contract and breach of express and implied warranties claims related to the design, fabrication, procurement, and construction of a crude distillation plant located in Corpus Christi, Texas.
  • Represented consulting firm in multimillion-dollar breach of contract dispute against international oil and gas exploration and production company involving payment obligations and continuing project rights and interests.
  • Defended Fortune 500 manufacturing company against claims by local business concerning an allegedly defective product and resulting damages.
  • Obtained settlement for employer in case involving fraud and violations of the Texas theft Liability Act against a former employee who embezzled company funds.
  • Represented construction firm in dispute involving removal of a fraudulent lien and recovery of attorney’s fees.
  • Represented high-net-worth beneficiary in breach of fiduciary duty action against trustee for failure to act as a reasonably prudent investor and for co-mingling trust assets.
